Celosia argentea

Celosia argentea hat leuchtende, pflaumenartige Blüten in Rot, Rosa, Gelb oder Orange, die von Sommer bis Herbst blühen. Sie duftet nicht, ist ungiftig und die jungen Blätter sind essbar und werden häufig in der asiatischen Küche verwendet. Die pflegeleichte Pflanze ist trockenheitsresistent, aber nicht frosthart – ideal für Anfänger. Wächst am besten an sonnigen Plätzen wie Balkonen oder hellen Innenräumen, eignet sich aber auch hervorragend für Gartenrabatten oder festliche Dekorationen. Wächst schnell bei regelmäßiger Bewässerung und gut durchlässigem Boden. Sicher für Kinder und Haustiere.
