Nepeta cataria

Nepeta cataria, allgemein als Katzenminze bekannt, hat weiches grünes Laub und kleine weiße bis blassviolette Blüten, die im Sommer blühen. Sie verströmt ein minziges Aroma und ist leicht luftreinigend. Für den Menschen essbar (in Tees) und für Katzen sehr attraktiv. Pflegeleicht, trockenheitstolerant und gedeiht in voller Sonne, was sie ideal für Anfänger macht. Am besten geeignet für Balkone, Gärten oder sonnige Fensterbänke; bei Geruchsempfindlichkeit nicht in Schlafzimmern platzieren. Wächst schnell und kann ohne Rückschnitt buschig werden. Ungiftig für Menschen und Katzen, kann aber bei Haustieren zu Überreizung führen.
